August Med TalksOur next MED Talk will take place on Monday, August 31 at 5:30 p.m. PT (6:30 p.m. MT // 7:30 p.m. CT // 8:30 p.m. ET) .

MED Talks are the ATA Medical Division’s content-based presentation series, free and open to all Medical Division members! They usually last 60 minutes and are limited to 100 participants.

This MED Talk will be recorded, and the recording will be available for a limited time to all members who register.

Topic: The Nuts and Bolts of Cardiac Plumbing — Introduction to Congenital Heart Diseases and Interventions

Speaker: Serena Sah, MD

Description: The plethora of congenital heart diagnoses can feel daunting — but it doesn’t have to be. Join us for a friendly introduction into the world of congenital heart disease, where we will talk about the most often seen diagnoses, their basic concepts and typical interventions, and help you grow in confidence when navigating congenital cardiac terminology.

About the Speaker: Serena Sah, MD, is a freelance Chinese-English translator specializing in life sciences and clinical medicine. She holds a medical degree from the University of California, Irvine, and completed pediatric residency at the Children’s Hospital of Orange County in Southern California, followed by a pediatric cardiology fellowship at the University of California, San Diego. She is a board-certified pediatric cardiologist, and was an Assistant Clinical Professor in the Department of Pediatrics at the UC San Diego School of Medicine until 2024.
