Founded in 2003, the Medical Division’s newsletter Caduceus has been working hard for 23 years, which may feel like 65 in newsletter years, but its work is far from over. It will be scaling back its hours, but it won’t be leaving any time soon. We are taking some of the pressure off by letting it split its job duties with a newcomer, and we think you’re going to like what our newest addition brings to the table. Therefore, instead of a retirement party, we are having a welcome celebration.
Welcome to the Medical Divisions blog: The Medicine Cabinet!
Why The Medicine Cabinet? Every once in a while, you open it up and take a look inside. What you will find is a variety of things all having to do with medicine. Because, as a division, that is what we are. We are translators and interpreters, but we are also teachers, writers, athletes, historians, musicians, travelers, foodies, readers, artists, philosophers and so much more, all united by a common interest in the language of medicine. And we’re so glad to have you with us!
So stop by next week and open it up. Take a look, and see what you find… And if there is something you are hoping to see in there, let us know! We will be happy to help satisfy your curiosity. On the other hand, if you have something to contribute to the Cabinet, we have plenty of space! Stay tuned for guidelines on how to send us new additions.
It is early days, but we hope that with time, this will be a Cabinet that you want to open often, and that when you do, you will make some fascinating finds.
